The sun caressed and
warmed her ancient body throughout the day
And lingered there
in the bed of rock where she lay
Night was approaching
The day at an end
Now her dreams begin
Golden head resting
on talons of black
She shifts her weight
and sighs
Gazing into the heavens
above
Searching...Searching...
The first star was
shining bright
Oh! So bright!
Now the time was right
Dreaming of flight
among the stars
Soaring near and drifting
far
Floating among clouds
so fair
Inhaling the fresh
clean air
She felt his gentle
touch brushing against her wing
Her heart began to
sing
Her soul began to soar
What Dragon could ask
for more?
He had found her among
the stars
Searching the whole
world over
He thought to look
among the stars
